Snore Stop!! Get Serious About Your Snoring Problem

Friday, November 14th, 2008

If you snore, stop burying your head in the sand about your problem. It’s easy to make jokes about, but it’s far from a laughing matter.

Snoring is an extremely serious condition that can have extremely negative impacts on your health. For one thing, if you snore heavily and regularly, you’re not really getting a good night’s sleep.

This is not just speculation; it’s been medically proven. Heavy snorers wake up repeatedly each night for a second or two, but it’s so fast that they don’t realize it. You may think you’ve slept through the night, but you actually haven’t.

Just think of the the difference this alone would make. You now interrupt your sleep several times a night when you snore. Stop Snoring, and you’ll get much better sleep and have more energy immediately.

And if you snore, stop searching for the latest fad or gimmick to treat the problem. You’ve seen the ads for sprays, pills, tablets, capsules, strips, etc. Do you really think a pill or capsule is going to cure your snoring?

There’s not much scientific evidence for such a view. Keep in mind that anyone can put up a website with any number of “testimonials”. That doesn’t mean that every single product is a scam. But use your common sense and retain a healthy dose of skepticism.

A lot of these products are on the market because they know that the vast majority of people won’t take the time to ask for their money back. Make no mistake - there’s really only one guaranteed way to Stop Snoring long term, and that’s to change your body.

It’s the muscles in the back of your mouth and throat that are causing your snoring problem. It’s hard to see how a pill or spray would do much about that.

There are only two ways of changing your body to cure snoring. One is surgery, and the other is exercises designed for the muscles involved in snoring. Don’t be fooled by fads and gimmicks.

Do No Snore Sprays Really Work?

Friday, November 14th, 2008

Millions of people are looking for a solution to their snoring problem, or a loved one’s snoring habit. It’s good news that more people are taking snoring seriously, because it can have devastating health consequences, both short and long term.

It can also affect relationships, driving one partner out of the bedroom in search of peace and quiet. And there are a great number of snoring remedies on the market, all promising relief. One of the most popular are the no snore sprays you see advertised in magazines, on TV and all over the internet. Are they effective? Well, the answer is mixed.

No snore sprays are applied to the back of the tongue and throat area before retiring for the evening. The theory behind them is that by applying the substance in the spray, it causes the palate and the back of the tongue to vibrate less. This vibration is what causes the loud snoring. And, for some people, these no snore sprays do give some relief.

But they don’t work for everyone, and even for many of the people that find some success with these products, they’re far from 100 percent effective.

One of the problems with these sprays is that during the night they wear off. The saliva in a person’s mouth contains chemicals that begin breaking down substances for the digestive process, and these sprays are no different. So the effect wears off quickly.

Also, they seem to work better on people whose snoring is closer to being light than heavy. So, yes, these sprays can work for light snorers, many people have reported some success. But they generally won’t work all night long.

Many users also report that after using the spray for several nights, the effect gradually becomes less and less, until finally they’re snoring as heavily as they ever did. So, for long term relief, the prospects aren’t good. There are better alternatives when it comes to snoring remedies.

Snoring Cures -Can They Really Work?

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

Snoring treatments are a plenty….When there is a need there are always plenty of solutions. Especially if there is money to be made :) Nothing wrong with that, but let’s look at what’s available for the sufferer of a snorer, or the snorer him (or her) self.

First, it is important to understand what causes snoring.

Snoring is caused when the airways are partially obstructed.

No more, and no less.

Now, there are a few different reasons WHY the airways are obstructed and herein lies the problem with most available products, AND available surgeries.

Most snoring treatments will focus on ONE possible cause, out of many, and make a product to correct that. Not only may what you buy something to correct something you do not have, it will only correct it as long as you either wear it, put it into your mouth, *gag* or your nose.

Then we have surgery in the hopes to cure snoring. We have to admit to being very biased against surgery. Not only is it expensive, the results are unpredictable and may come with a high price, such as problems swallowing, changes to your voice, and chronically dry mouth, just to mention a few. No small matters…

But let’s get back to the cause.

Snoring is caused when the airways are partially obstructed.

The obstruction can be in a variety of places. The obstruction always involves soft tissues such as muscles, tongue etc. Sometimes the obstruction is due to swelling of the tissues in the case of allergies.

The truth is when the tissues or muscles surrounding the airways are well toned, the airways will be open as you sleep, and you will not snore. That’s right.

Most snoring treatments introduce artificial and uncomfortable devices to keep your body, or body parts, in a position to discourage snoring. That is a band aid at best, and frequently ineffective. Not only do they use only when used or worn, if they do not target your specific cause for your snoring problem, they are utterly ineffective.

Correcting the lack of tone in the tissues surrounding the airways is not only very effective and easy, the exercises target most causes of snoring, making it not only the most non-invasive and comfortable snoring treatment, but one of the least expensive as well.

Imagine, you could do these exercises and stop snoring, or do a snoring surgery where you risk future changes in your voice and swallowing problems.
